Changing of the Guards
A NOW Word concerning the election of our current President, Joe Biden.
1 Samuel 16:1 NLT
“Now the Lord said to Samuel, “You have mourned long enough for Saul. I have rejected him as king of Israel, so fill your flask with olive oil and go to Bethlehem. Find a man named Jesse who lives there, for I have selected one of his sons to be my king.”
Saul was a violent man who fell in love with power. I am not comparing Joe Biden to David. There is no comparison. However, God’s character is love and justice. He will remove people from authority who exalt their names above God, and use His people for their own glory. The devil knows what the Church wants, and he will often present it, in a neat and nicely wrapped gift. Beware that you are not deceived. You will know a true disciple (a student of Christ -someone who is willing to learn) by the love that they have for others.
John 13:34-35 TPT
“So I give you now a new commandment: Love each other just as much as I have loved you. For when you demonstrate the same love I have for you by loving one another, everyone will know that you’re my true followers.”
Pay attention to what comes out of a persons mouth. We will take an account for every word we speak, write, tweet, or post on social media. It all counts.
Matthew 15:11 TPT
“What truly contaminates a person is not what he puts into his mouth but what comes out of his mouth. That’s what makes people defiled.”
A Great Changing of the Guards has taken place, and it is now time to move on.
Isaiah 43:18-19 NIV
“Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland.”
Let us not be a people who complain; but instead, be a people who offer up an aroma of prayers, that is fragrant and pleasing to our Heavenly Father.
God can change a Nation in a day, regardless of who is in office. We serve a miracle working God! He is able to transform political parties, people, and nations overnight. I have no doubt that God is able to do what He said He would do!
Psalms 141:2 TPT
“Let my prayer be as the evening sacrifice that burns like fragrant incense, rising as my offering to you as I lift up my hands in surrendered worship!”
Revelation 5:8 TPT
“And when the twenty-four elders and the four living creatures saw the Lamb had taken the scroll, they fell facedown at the feet of the Lamb and worshiped him. Each of them had a harp and golden bowls brimming full of sweet fragrant incense—which are the prayers of God’s holy lovers.”
Revelation 8:3-5 TPT
“Then the eighth angel with a golden incense burner came and took his place at the incense altar. He was given a great quantity of incense to offer up, consisting of the prayers of God’s holy people, upon the golden altar that is before the throne. And the smoke of the incense with the prayers of the holy ones billowed up before God from the hand of the angel. Then the angel filled the golden incense burner with coals of fire from the altar and hurled it onto the earth, releasing great peals of thunder, voices, lightning flashes, and an earthquake.”
The bowls of prayer will only tip if we pray. Complaining or carrying on about the injustice will get us nowhere.
We must position ourselves in the Secret Place and fix our focus on Jesus.
Jesus is the only One who can save us.
